Message for Packaging Institute of the Philippines 2026

On behalf of the Packaging Institute of the Philippines, I like to express my sincere gratitude to all members/stakeholders for placing your trust in me for the year 2025 as President. It is both an honor and a significant responsibility that I, along with the entire executive committee and board members are committed in fulfilling our duties for the benefit of the
members and the industry as a whole.

Over the past year, the Association has focused on fostering collaborative networks both domestically and internationally, facilitating the exchange of information, knowledge, technology and market trends to enhance the competitiveness of Philippines’ packaging industry. We have also supported sustainability initiatives and projects aligned with the needs of consumers and business partners worldwide.

The Association through its various committee members have accomplished the following initiatives and is looking forward to continue the Institute’s mission of promoting Packaging as a Science:

  • Participation in 2025 Propak Philippines (March, 2025)
  • 1st General Membership Meeting entitled “Peza’s Policies, Incentives and Updates for the Manufacturing Industry” and Induction of Officers (March, 2025)
  • 2nd General Membership meeting entitled “Fostering Sustainability and Circularity in Waste Management through Behavior Change”, “Transforming Food Packaging: Tetra RecartGame – Changing Solutions”, “Plastic Usage Reporting Process (PRO) as Part of EPR Compliance (June, 2025)
  • Pack Print Plas (September, 2025)
  • 3rd General Membership Meeting – Packaging Conference entitled “One Stop Solutions for Packaging Needs” and “Packaging at the Crossroads: Balance Between Food Waste Prevention and Recyclability”
  • Transport Packaging Seminar 2.0 (September, 2025)
  • Basic Packaging Technology Course (October, 2025)
  • 16th President’s Cup Golf Tournament (November, 2025)
  • 4th General Membership Meeting entitled “Retail Competition and Open Access” and Annual Christmas Party For the year 2026,

    PIP will continue to carry out its mission through strengthened collaboration with government agencies, private sector entities and international organizations to enhance the global competitiveness of the Philippines’ packaging industry.

    Second is by enhancing the members’ knowledge and skills through seminars, training programs and exchanges with packaging experts both locally and abroad.

    Third is to Promote innovative, eco-friendly packaging and carbon footprint reduction programs to prepare for emerging trade standards. Fourth is expanding networks and partnerships in Asia through allied associations and key stakeholders. Lastly, to act as a liaison in representing and voice the interests of industry players to the government and other stakeholders.

    On this occasion, I also like to introduce the new executive committee as well as board members of the Association for the year 2026. The team is dedicated on working closely with all members to ensure that the Association’s activities bring about tangible benefits and create sustainable value for the packaging industry.

    The executive committee and I are always open to hearing your opinions, suggestions and feedbacks so we can work together to advance and sustain our industry. Once again thank you for your continued trust and support
